Refresh the fundamentals or learn from scratch! In this introductory 6-week metalsmithing class, you'll learn the
fundamental skills of metal jewelry fabrication. Learn good studio habits while learning how to solder with a
gas torch. Sawing, filing, using the flex-shaft, riveting techniques. finish work and other common bench and
studio necessities are also included. All students will be following the same curriculum!
You'll enjoy making and completing fun and unique jewelry projects in Sterling silver, copper and brass while
learning the proper techniques necessary to help you build a solid foundation in the metal jewelry arts. Come
explore your creative potential!
This is a limited entry class, so sign up early to ensure your spot! After registering, a list of what to bring the
first day will be sent to you about one week prior to the start date! A complete printed tutorial with step-bystep
instructions and photos is provided for you to take home.
Ages 17 and up. A $120 fee will be paid to the instructor for the metals and supplies used in class.
